I think, if they can make it cross-platform compatible, I'll go with the PC version. I ran the benchmark on my new PC and it ran scored pretty damn well.

If it is cross platform, I will most likely get the PC version after I get a new video card.

I trust my PC more than my PS2 in terms of online games at this moment.

I have decided to pick up the PC version while I am in Japan next week. I am sick of waiting for Square to get on the stick with this game, so I'll play the import PC version until they release the domestic. Guess I better brush up on my Hiragana/Katakana.

You can always order it like i did from either Himeya.com (the one i went through) or through NCSX.com - both are the same price - one dollar difference, so it's just a matter of preference.

I guess the only other thing would be the monthly payment thing.. Don't you need a japanese address to do that whole procedure?

No, I believe it's just a regular CC payment. I doubt Square cares too much if you are in the US or not, as long as you are paying your monthly fees.

lol actually on the back of the box it says sold in and intended for Japan use only - yata yata . . . yata yata (basically it is illegal to play this game outside of japan . . . but they do seem to accept U.S. credit cards rather well heh) u just give a fake yet real address (supplied via the setup guide at ffxionline.com) and give a valid CC that u wish to make the payments with. i have also been told web money works as well but its a lot more of a hassel.
